Short version: if you never sign in, nothing. If you do sign in, your email address — because that is what an account is.
Nothing identifying is stored. You can read everything older than 14 days without an account, and the site keeps no record that you did.
Two exceptions worth naming, because "nothing" should mean nothing:
8f3c…, generated locally, tied to no account and to no
person. It exists so the same browser can't vote twice on one item. Clearing
your browser data erases it.Accounts exist for one reason: the two most recent weeks are for members, and the site needs some way to know you are one.
| What | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | It is your account — there is no other identifier | Supabase |
| Your name and profile picture URL | Only if you use Google; it shows in the top bar so you can see you're signed in | Supabase |
| Sign-in timestamps | Created by Supabase automatically | Supabase |
That is the complete list. Your account is not linked to anything you suggest or vote on — those stay anonymous, by design, and there is no column anywhere joining the two.
Until you delete it. There is no automatic expiry, and no backup that outlives the delete below.
One button, immediate, no request form and no waiting. It removes your account, your email address and everything attached to it.
Anything you suggested stays, because it was never attached to your account — it's a film credit, not personal data. If you want a specific suggestion pulled too, ask.
None. The site uses localStorage for two things — your sign-in
token, and that random voting ID — and neither is sent to any third party.
Signing out removes the token.
If you are in the UK or EU, the GDPR gives you the right to see what is held about you, correct it, or have it erased. The delete button above does the erasing immediately. For anything else, email director@timesofcinema.com.
This page describes what the site actually does, and is updated whenever that changes.
The last two weeks are for members. Everything older stays free for everyone.
Signing in stores your email address, and nothing else. No analytics, no newsletter, and you can delete it in one click. What's stored →
